Outer Shell Material
A durable, wind-resistant blend, often 50% cotton and 50% nylon sateen, treated for water resistance (e.g., Quarpel treatment in original USGI models).
Liner
Designed to accommodate a separate, button-in insulated liner for cold-weather wear (liner usually not included with the shell).
Closure
Heavy-duty zippered front covered by a six-button snap storm flap to seal out wind and rain.
Pockets
Four large front cargo pockets (two at the breast and two at the hips) with snap closures provide ample storage.
Collar/Hood
