Level 6 is the lightweight waterproof outer shell of the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System, designed for protection in cold, wet, and windy conditions while allowing other ECWCS layers to be worn underneath. The military specification identifies the OEF-CP version as one of the authorized Level 6 configurations.
